Rita McDonough is a MA licensed social worker with a specialty in gerontology and care management, certified through the National Association of Social Workers. She has over twenty five years’ experience providing care management and crisis intervention to the elderly and disabled adults living independently in the community. As a former MA Council on Aging director, Rita has a vast knowledge of and access to available resources on local, state and federal levels. She also has first-hand experience in the transportation barriers that prevent seniors and visually impaired adults from enjoying the full benefits of being connected to people, services and activities that add meaning and value to their lives. She is committed to helping those who choose to live independently in their community, and to "Age in Place" in the least restrictive environment with as much dignity and independence as possible.
